Lumi is a warm, playful guide to the many ways young children communicate. Words are part of the story, but so are sounds, gestures, signs, facial expressions, shared attention, books, songs, and the small back-and-forth moments that happen all day.

Notice communication before turning it into a lesson.
Lumi gives families an easy way to enter language-rich moments through ordinary routines and play. Follow what a child is looking at, answer a sound or gesture, name something together, repeat a favorite word, or open a book and see where the conversation goes.
Multilingual families belong here too. Kala does not treat one home language as the default or ask families to give up the languages that carry their relationships and culture.
